Ingredients
- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 box strawberry Jello mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup water
- 1–2 tsp strawberry flavor
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup freeze-dried strawberries, chopped (optional)
- Fresh berries for topping
Method
- Add all dry ingredients to a bowl and whisk together.
- Add the wet ingredients and flavoring, then mix on medium speed using a hand mixer or stand mixer until all lumps are gone.
- Grease and flour your pans.
- Bake at 325°F. Oven temperature and baking time may vary depending on your oven.
